Recently i was looking for a WordPress plugin for managing default wordpress dashboard widgets so that it becomes possible for the admins to control the visibility of the dashboard widgets according to WordPress default user roles. I found a couple of plugins out there which partially satisfied my needs but not the way i exactly wanted. So i myself wrote one which can easily show/hide the individual widget from the wordpress dashboard according to specific user role. With this plugin Admins can set the permission to determine which dashboard widget will be visible to which user role. This is specially useful for multi user blog where u might need to restrict the visibility of some dashboard widgets from specific user role/roles.
So, here goes my first WordPress plugin “Dashboard Widget Remover”.
